In our last Tech Talk, we covered Rope Lights and SMD Fixtures.
This week, we’re going to take a look at the difference between Seamless connectors and Snap connectors.
Seamless connectors are manufactured directly onto the fixture. They give your ends and leads a more uniform look. When you install two fixtures with these ends/leads butted together, you can’t see the seams. Because of this, the fixtures give the illusion of a continuous length.
Our Seamless leads are available in end, side and bottom exit options to suit your project needs.
These ends and leads are recommended for projects in hard to reach areas, wet locations, or harsh environments.

Snap connectors have the option of on-site assembly, removal and re-assembly, and have quick lead times. They still look good, but are not ideal for close viewing applications.
Snap connectors have an outdoor rating and are weatherproof. These leads are also available in end and side exit options.
Snap Connectors, however:
It’s always important to consider the environment as well as the location your project will be installed in. At the end of the day, you want to choose an end/lead type that will best suit your needs. If you still want advice on choosing leads and ends, contact your account manager!
